BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Brokerage McGriff, Seibels & Williams Inc. named David Sellars and Dusty Cahill co-practice leaders of its financial services division.

The announcement made Tuesday follows the departure earlier last month of Paul Sparks and Darren Sonderman to found and lead a financial services division at Birmingham, Alabama-based rival Cobbs Allen.

Most recently, Mr. Sellars and Mr. Cahill were senior vice presidents, specializing in directors and officers liability, at McGriff, the retail brokerage unit of Raleigh, North Carolina-based BB&T Insurance Holdings Inc. Mr. Sellars splits his time between offices in Atlanta and Houston, and Mr. Cahill is based in Atlanta.

BB&T is the world’s sixth largest-brokerage and the fifth-largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking. Cobbs Allen is the 91st-largest brokerage of U.S. business.
