Willis Towers Watson snags Marsh execs

Willis Towers Watson PLC on Wednesday announced it has appointed three industry veterans and senior executives from rival Marsh LLC in a move strengthening its financial institutions business in Canada.

Susan Finbow has been appointed head of financial institutions industry, Canada, while Alexandra Kindbom has been appointed Canada head of FINEX financial institutions and Andrew Brown has been appointed FINEX financial institutions lead relationship manager, Willis Towers Watson said in a statement.

The team will be based in Toronto and report to Allison Barrett, global head of FINEX financial institutions and John Haas, head of corporate risk and broking in Canada, the brokerage said in the statement.

As head of financial institutions industry, Canada, Ms. Finbow will oversee a growth strategy for the region and develop risk coverages and alternative risk financing strategies for financial institutions across the FINEX and property/casualty lines, the statement said.

Ms. Finbow was previously managing director and held various positions including financial institutions industry practice leader at Marsh Canada Ltd.

Ms. Kindbom will oversee all FINEX and property/casualty placements in Canada for financial institutions and provide strategic direction to clients across the region, while Mr. Brown will service a portfolio of large clients and oversee new business development, the statement said.

Ms. Kindbom previously served as managing director and a leading adviser on financial lines risk and insurance to companies and senior executives at Marsh Canada Ltd, while Mr. Brown held senior vice president roles in financial lines, financial institutions and professional services at the brokerage.

“With our expanding capacity in Canada, we look forward to assisting more organizations with their financial, executive and professional risk management needs,” Mr. Haas said in the statement.
