BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Aon PLC on Thursday said it has promoted five senior executives across its global broking and specialties businesses within its commercial risk solutions division.

The expanded responsibilities follow the appointment of longtime broking executive Lambros Lambrou as CEO of Aon’s commercial risk solutions division this year in the wake of the departure of Aon broking CEO Tom Fitzgerald in January.

As part of the realignment, veteran Aon executive Gerard Guterl, CEO of professional services, and Lee Meyrick, CEO of marine, have been named as co-leaders of the global specialties business, a leadership role previously occupied by Mr. Lambrou, an Aon spokeswoman said.

In a statement, Aon said that Cynthia Beveridge, will continue as president of Aon Broking based in New York, with an expanded remit including a renewed focus on global carrier management.

Broking veteran Richard Dudley, who has led the global broking center in the United Kingdom since 2016 has been named CEO of Aon’s global broking center, Aon said.

Mr. Dudley, who is based in London, will spearhead an operating model across the U.K., Singapore and Bermuda while continuing to lead the global broking center in the U.K., Aon said in the statement.

Hugo Wegbrans, Netherlands-based chief broking officer for the EMEA region since 2015 and a longtime Aon executive, has been promoted to global chief broking officer, Aon said.

In his new role, Mr. Wegbrans will lead and coordinate the firm’s chief broking officer network and will remain Aon’s chief broking officer for EMEA.

In addition to their co-leader roles of the global specialties business, Mr. Guterl and Mr. Meyrick will maintain their current roles as CEOs of professional services and marine, respectively, Aon said in a statement.

Mr. Guterl is based in New York and Mr. Meyrick, who joined Aon in 2017 from XL Catlin, is based in London, a spokeswoman said.

The expanded leadership roles reflect the firm’s ”strong talent base and consistent commitment to client and carrier relationships,” Aon said in a statement.

All five executives will report to Mr. Lambrou with immediate effect, Aon said in a statement.
