BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Rapper not digging former neighbor’s construction project

“Human Beat Box” and rapper Doug E. Fresh is not digging an incomplete construction project near his former home in Harlem and is now suing the neighbor, several construction firms and an architect for $1 million.

The performer, whose real name is Douglas Davis, says the rehabilitation work on a house with a shared wall has caused major problems to the brownstone he used to own but is now owned by the estate of a deceased woman of which he is executor, PageSix.com reported Monday.

While work began in March 2016, the city Department of Buildings halted the project a year later, leaving the building without a rear wall, weakening the whole structure and causing a crack to form along the top-to-bottom wall that both properties share, according to the suit, accessed by the news outlet.

The crack has “allowed water to infiltrate the wall system … seep into the soil and foundation of the adjoining premises, compromise the structural integrity of the adjoining premises, and cause damage” and that “rodents infested and nested” in debris and dirt piles left behind in construction, according to the suit.
