AmWINS launches railroad practice group

Wholesale brokerage AmWINS Group Inc. said Wednesday it has formed a new railroad practice group based on its more than 15 years of experience in the sector.
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based wholesale brokerage said the new practice, which focuses on property coverage, will be led by Darron Johnston in Atlanta.
AmWINS said in its statement it has nearly 500 railroad accounts.
AmWINS said last month it is partnering with Axis Insurance Co., a unit of Axis Capital Holdings Ltd., to offer social engineering fraud coverage and risk mitigation services.
