BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Insurance agent to buy Girl Scout cookies for sales pitches

A Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance agent in Dexter, Missouri, who struggled to be social early in his insurance career said he will buy two boxes of cookies from any Girl Scout who can deliver a good sales pitch, news station KFVS in Missouri reported Tuesday.

As Devin Busby recently posted on his business Facebook page, “To spur the entrepreneurial spirit of our youth, I am offering to buy 2 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies from any Girl Scout that comes to my office and gives me their sales pitch!”

Proposing a great way to get the girls out in the community and talk to people to help build up their confidence and courage, Mr. Busby wrote that this would be his way to give back to the community.

"Later on down the road, say they are at a gathering or something like that, they are able to approach different people and have the people skills and leadership to engage into a conversation," Mr. Busby told a reporter. "One day they're going to have that big job interview. Hopefully, that will allow them to build some people skills and some confidence so when they go in there they have a great interview."

"I started at a late age. Going to meet different people was very hard for me," he added. "I just think starting at an early age is very important because it's just going to get better as they age."
