Exec serving as interim head of Argo unit

Argo Group U.S. Inc., a member of Argo Group International Holdings Ltd., said Monday that Gary Grose, its head of marketing and producer management, is serving as interim head of its Colony Specialty unit.
The San Antonio-based insurer said in its statement that the company’s former leader, Ron Vindivich, has announced plans to retire. Argo said it hopes to find a permanent replacement by spring.
Mr. Grose is assuming the interim position in addition to his current responsibilities, the insurer said.

Papua New Guinea-based Western Pacific Insurance Ltd. has signed a memorandum of understanding with Singapore-based ArgoGlobal Underwriting Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. to provide specialty insurance products, Middle East Insurance Review reported. Under the agreement, Western Pacific will offer professional indemnity, directors and officers' liability and medical malpractice products to companies operating in Papua New Guinea. The insurer plans to offer maximum policy limits totaling about $6 million for the insurance products.
