BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Liberty Mutual restructures commercial, specialty leadership

Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. has a new distribution structure in the U.S for commercial and specialty insurance products, the insurer said in a statement Friday.

Each of six geographic regions will be managed by a regional executive, Shaun Kelly, president of global risk solutions distribution, said in the statement.

The South Central executive is Houston-based Ron Gleason, while Chris Johnston is the Midwest executive, the statement said.

Amy Lochhead, based in Lawrenceville, Georgia, is the Southeast executive and David Russo, based in Philadelphia, is the mid-Atlantic executive. Boston-based Bob Thomas is the Northeast executive and Los Angeles-based Adam Witten is the Western executive, the statement said.

The regional executive positions are all newly created, a spokesman confirmed by email.

In addition, Liberty Mutual has named Chicago-based Ben Johnson to be wholesale distribution executive, the statement said.

“Each region will have a number of branch executives who will oversee broker relationships on a local level,” Mr. Kelly said in the statement. “This structure provides distribution partners access to the full capability of Liberty and Ironshore more easily.

Early this year, the insurer reorganized its operations following a divestiture.
