StarStone taps former Validus exec as group CEO

John Hendrickson has been appointed group CEO of StarStone Group, effective immediately, the London-based specialty insurer announced Wednesday.
Mr. Hendrickson succeeds Demian Smith, who resigned last month. Most recently, Mr. Hendrickson served as director of strategy, risk management and corporate development of Validus Holdings Ltd.
StarStone is part of the Enstar Group Ltd.
