Travelers appoints vice president of bond and specialty insurance

Travelers Cos. Inc. said Monday it has named Kristin Roger to vice president, where she will lead the insurer’s financial institutions business within its bond and specialty insurance segment.
She replaces Ken Chapman, who is joining IAT Insurance Group.
Ms. Roger, who will be based in Hartford, Connecticut, joined Travelers in 2001 and was most recently financial institutions underwriting officer, a position she had held since 2010, the company said.
Ms. Roger will report to Tom Kunkel, executive vice president and president of bond and insurance specialty at Travelers.
