Everest names insurance chief

Everest Re Group Ltd. named Jonathan M. Zaffino president and CEO of its insurance unit on Friday.
Mr. Zaffino, who was previously president of North American insurance for Everest, will assume oversight for the newly formed Everest Insurance Co. of Ireland and the Everest Lloyd’s of London operations and will be responsible for the Hamilton, Bermuda-based company’s worldwide insurance division’s business strategies, according to an Everest statement.
Mr. Zaffino joined Everest in 2015.
“Jon has done a tremendous job in the build out of the North America insurance division and elevating the Everest name in this important marketplace,” Dominic J. Addesso, president and CEO of Everest Re Group, Ltd. said in the statement.
