PartnerRe Ltd. on Thursday said it has named Charles Goldie CEO of property/casualty, while CEO Emmanuel Clarke will take over specialty lines.
Mr. Goldie, formerly CEO of specialty lines at PartnerRe, will relocate from Zurich to Stamford, Connecticut, for his new role, effective Jan. 15. He succeeds Tad Walker, who retired.
Mr. Goldie has led PartnerRe’s specialty lines business since 2010 and is a member of its executive management team, the reinsurer said in a statement.
Mr. Clarke, based in Zurich, will take overall responsibility for specialty lines, assisted by Greg Haft, who has been appointed deputy CEO of specialty lines, effective Jan. 1, according to the statement.
Mr. Haft, previously head of global catastrophe and property, North America, will lead a newly formed unit of specialty property, marine and energy within specialty lines, the statement said. He will relocate to Zurich from Bermuda.
“As an established leader at PartnerRe, Charlie brings experience and stability for our clients and brokers in P&C,” Mr. Clarke said in the statement.
PartnerRe Ltd., Pembroke, Bermuda, said late Wednesday that Tad Walker, CEO of property/casualty, and Marvin Pestcoe, chief risk and actuarial officer, will both retire from the company at the end of the first quarter of 2018.
