Willis Towers Watson chooses large account leader

Willis Towers Watson P.L.C. has named Louise Pennington to the newly created role of large account leader for its corporate risk and broking segment, the company said Thursday.

Ms. Pennington, who is New York-based, will work with Fortune 1000 clients across multiple industries and continue to manage a portfolio of business in this segment, Willis Towers Watson said in its statement. She will report to Mike Liss, head of corporate risk and broking, North America.

Ms. Pennington, who joined Willis Towers Watson in 2012, has held a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, she served as director of client management in the company’s Metro New York region.

She is a former practicing attorney who worked in the New York County District attorney’s office in Manhattan from 1995 to 2000. Ms. Pennington was a Business Insurance “Woman to Watch” in 2009.
