Tim Szerlong, president of worldwide field operations at CNA Financial Corp., will retire from the insurer at year-end, CNA announced Tuesday.
Mr. Szerlong, 65, joined CNA in 2009. Prior to joining the Chicago-based insurer, he had a long career at Chubb Corp., where he rose to be senior vice president and Eastern U.S. field operations officer.
“During his eight years at CNA, Tim has been instrumental in building our robust branch network and advancing our brand across the globe with the many brokers and agents we serve,” said Dino E. Robusto, chairman and CEO of CNA, who also had a long career at Chubb before joining CNA last year. “Tim will continue to lead our field network through the end of the year, and I will work closely with him on his transition.”
CNA Financial Corp. named former Chubb Ltd. executive Kevin Smith president and chief operating officer of CNA Specialty on Tuesday, succeeding Mark Herman who has resigned.
