Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver sued over gluten-free recipe label

An advocacy group for people with gluten intolerance is claiming that celebrity chef Jamie Oliver's way of indicating that his recipes are free of gluten violates the group’s rights over the initials G.F., according to a story posted Monday on the Today.com website.
Specifically, Mr. Oliver’s use of a "mark showing 'GF' in a circle, is identical or substantially similar to GIG’s marks and ... is intended to falsely certify that Oliver’s recipes are gluten-free,” per the federal lawsuit filed by the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America in Washington state, and accessed by the celebrity news site TMZ.
The group is suing the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation Inc., Jamie Oliver Enterprises Ltd. and Jamie T. Oliver the individual, for "federal certification mark infringement, counterfeiting, and unfair competition under federal statutes, with pendent claims for trademark infringement, and unfair competition,” according to TMZ.
Meanwhile, media sites are reporting that there is no proof that recipes are incorrectly labeled as gluten free.
