Ironshore International named Krishnan Ethirajan to the newly-created position chief operating officer of the Ironshore Inc. unit, the insurer announced Monday.
In addition to the new position, Mr. Ethirajan will retain his existing position of chief operations officer of IronServe Inc., a unit that provides underwriting, claims, analytics and other services to Ironshore’s operations, the statement said. He will be based in London and report to Mark Wheeler, chief executive officer of Ironshore International.
Mr. Ethirajan joined Ironshore from PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2012.
“Krishnan will now be responsible for all Ironshore International operations as we seek to develop and grow our service offering.” Mr. Wheeler said in the statement.
Ironshore was purchased by Liberty Mutual in May.
Following the completion of its $2.93 billion acquisition of Hamilton, Bermuda-based Ironshore Inc. on Monday, Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. said it will fold much of its existing U.S. specialty business into the Ironshore brand.
