Managing general underwriter Concord Specialty Risk said Tuesday that it has named longtime mergers and acquisitions lawyer James A. Grayer as executive vice president, reps and warranty insurance.
New York-based Mr. Grayer previously was a partner at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel L.L.P.
Concord, a unit of Ryan Specialty Group L.L.C., specializes in transactional insurance products, such as representations and warranties cover for companies involved in mergers.
“Because of the growth that reps and warranties insurance is experiencing, combined with the subtle shifts in M&A negotiations, due diligence reporting, and policy terms, we sought the best legal talent available,” said David S. De Berry, CEO of Concord Specialty Risk.
Ryan Specialty Group L.L.C. on Monday said Charlie Rosson has joined the firm as senior vice president.
