Charles Taylor names US management services chief

London-based insurance services company Charles Taylor P.L.C. on Thursday said Richard Wood has been appointed as CEO of management services-Americas, succeeding Joe Roach, who has retired.

Mr. Wood is responsible for leading and developing Charles Taylor’s management services business across the Americas, Charles Taylor said in a statement. Previously, he was president of the Charles Taylor division that manages Signal Mutual, a provider of longshore workers’ compensation insurance in the U.S.

In addition to Signal Mutual, Charles Taylor offers loss adjusting service and other insurance management services. 

Mr. Wood is based in Wilton, Connecticut.

"Richard has been instrumental in developing of Charles Taylor in America alongside Joe Roach,” David Marock, Charles Taylor group CEO, said in the statement. “His deep knowledge of our businesses, entrepreneurial spirit and expertise in insurance markets make him the ideal candidate to succeed Joe and lead our management and insurance support services businesses in the Americas.”
