Directors and officers liability pricing for publicly held clients that renewed in both this year’s and last year’s third quarter decreased by 2.8%, Aon Risk Solutions said in its latest D&O report.
Analyzing primary policies that renewed with the same limit and deductible as the prior year, Aon reported that for the third quarter of 2016, 50% of primary policies received a price decrease, 36% renewed flat and 14% received a price increase, according to its “Quarterly D&O Pricing Index, Third Quarter 2016,” released Tuesday.
The average primary price decrease was 8.6%, while the average price increase was 13%. The overall price change for primary policies in the third quarter was down 2.9%, said the report.
