Axis Capital Holdings Ltd. said Thursday that it has named Chicago-based John Tatum executive vice president and head of U.S. programs at Axis Insurance.

Mr. Tatum will be responsible for all programs and binding authorities for Axis Insurance across the U.S.

Previously, Mr. Tatum was senior vice president of the middle market, construction and large casualty business units at CNA Financial Corp.
