Insurance broker makes leadership changes

Toledo, Ohio-based Hylant Group Inc. said Tuesday that Chris Godley has been named president of the Columbus office, Craig Markos has been promoted to president of property/casualty, and Richard Hylant has been named president of field operations and innovation.

Mr. Godley, who has been with the company for 17 years, will oversee day-day-operations at the Columbus office, the brokerage said in a statement.

Mr. Markos, who had been president of the Columbus office since 2000, will look to help growth in property/casualty offerings in risk management, middle market, select commercial and personal lines throughout the organization, according to the statement.

Mr. Hylant will focus on using technology to drive efficiencies and revenue, according to the statement. He will also continue to lead efforts at the corporate level to identify service and volunteer opportunities in the communities where Hylant is located. He has 28 years of insurance industry experience, according to the statement.

“We are extremely fortunate to have within our ranks these talented individuals who will use their abilities and leadership to help the organization continue to grow,” Bill Pridgeon, president and chief financial officer of Hylant Group, said in a statement.

Hylant is the 36th-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance's latest ranking.
