Munich Reinsurance Co. on Tuesday said Joe Stuhl has been named senior vice president and broker executive for Munich Reinsurance America Inc.’s reinsurance division.
Mr. Stuhl, who is based in Princeton, New Jersey, will report to Steve Levy, Munich Re US’ president of reinsurance, and will serve on the reinsurance division’s executive leadership team.
Previously, Mr. Stuhl was client manager for the division. He joined Munich Re US in 2003 as a casualty team leader in the broker market business unit.
“In this new role, Joe will lead the further development and execution of our strategy with respect to reinsurance brokers as we seek to grow our broker market business, consistent with Munich Re’s risk appetite and underwriting strategy,” Mr. Levy said in a statement. “Joe is well-known and extremely well-respected in the broker community and thus the ideal candidate to enhance our strategic positioning in this area.”
(Reuters) — Munich Reinsurance Co. warned on Wednesday that it expects to report a sharp drop in profits for the first three months of 2016 and its full-year target was now looking "ambitious," pushing the German reinsurer's share price sharply lower.
