BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Beecher Carlson Insurance Services L.L.C. has recruited two mergers and acquisitions specialists to work out of its southern California offices.

Rammy Streit and Robert Streit, who are married, join the large brokerage unit of Brown & Brown Inc. as senior vice presidents, according to a statement Tuesday from Atlanta-based Beecher Carlson.

They will work out of Beecher Carlson’s Woodland Hills and Orange County, California, offices and their focus will be on developing risk financing solutions for private equity funds and their associated portfolio companies, the statement said.

Previously, both executives were senior vice presidents at rival brokerage Venbrook Insurance Services, Beecher Carlson said.

Ms. Streit worked in investment banking prior to joining the insurance industry and Mr. Streit was a corporate lawyer specializing in mergers and acquisitions, among other things.

“Having been on the other side of the table, they can quickly identify areas where we can offer value and facilitate the closing of transactions,” Kevin Maloy, executive managing director and national practice leader of Beecher Carlson’s M&A practice said in the statement.
