BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Alliant Insurance Services Inc. on Thursday said it has opened a New Orleans office, led by Christian Chauvin and Noah Hardie as first vice presidents.

Previously, Mr. Chauvin was vice president at Bowen, Miclette & Britt Insurance Agency L.L.C., while Mr. Hardie was a lead task force officer with the FBI, serving as a State Department representative to the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and acting as a liaison among numerous government agencies, Alliant said in a statement.

The division will provide insurance and risk management solutions to clients in a range of industries and disciplines, according to the statement.

“The addition of Christian and Noah provides a unique opportunity for us to expand both our regional influence and service offerings,” Bob Bennetsen, executive vice president and senior managing director for Alliant Americas, said in the statement. “As an organization dedicated to specialization and local expertise, their diverse backgrounds and extensive experience, both in New Orleans and internationally, will be a tremendous asset to our clients.”
