Former Chubb exec moves to senior vice president slot at rival insurer

QBE North America on Monday said it has named former Chubb Ltd. executive Victor Sordillo senior vice president of loss control.

Based in New York, Mr. Sordillo will plan, direct and execute QBE North America's loss control vision and strategy by developing long-range business objectives, establishing a regional strategic framework and directing risk-management practices, QBE North America said in a statement.

Previously, Mr. Sordillo was global technical services manager at Chubb, according to the statement.

“We're pleased to have Victor join our leadership team at QBE,” Alan Driscoll, chief underwriting officer, QBE North America said in the statement. “This appointment further underscores our commitment to customer service excellence and loss prevention.”
