Ryan Specialty hires former AIG specialty marine execs

Ryan Specialty Group L.L.C., Chicago, on Monday said it has hired two former American International Group Inc. marine specialists to lead its new specialty marine underwriting manager, Safe Waters.
Miami-based Jorge Pecci has been named president and CEO of Safe Waters, and Sewell, New Jersey-based Ray Stahl joins as senior vice president to head the yacht practice, Ryan Specialty said in a statement.
Mr. Pecci is responsible for all aspects of the specialty marine business, growing initially in the U.S. and Latin America, and focusing on yacht and cargo, according to the statement.
Previously, Mr. Pecci was AIG's marine regional executive for the Americas, while Mr. Stahl was most recently AIG's senior vice president of global recreational marine practice, according to the statement.
“Our business approach will be customer-centric, dedicated to offering tailor-made solutions and superior added-value servicesI am delighted to be joined by Ray, who is a world-class marine executive with unique relationships in the marketplace and a leading yacht underwriter,” Mr. Pecci said in the statement.
