BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Software company acquires specialty property/casualty analytics firm

Guidewire Software Inc. said Tuesday that it has acquired EagleEye Analytics.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Columbia, South Carolina-based EagleEye Analytics is a provider of Software as a Service-based predictive analytics products specifically designed for property/casualty insurers, Foster City, California-based Guidewire said in a statement.

EagleEye’s products will be renamed Guidewire Predictive Analytics, according to the statement.

“We welcome the EagleEye team to Guidewire, where their expertise in property/casualty processes and data science will advance our mission of enabling insurers to adapt and succeed in a time of significant change,” Guidewire CEO Marcus Ryu said in the statement. “Their products, as with the others built by our data and analytics team, will leverage and further differentiate the capabilities of Guidewire’s insurance platform, the most broadly adopted in the industry.”
