Hub International acquires West Coast brokers

Chicago-based insurance broker Hub International Ltd. said Thursday it has acquired the assets of Yakima, Washington-based EmSpring Corp. and Simi Valley, California-based Arrow Insurance Service Inc.

Terms of neither acquisition were disclosed.

EmSpring is a provider of employee benefits solutions and has locations in Yakima, Bellevue, and Spokane, Washington. Arrow provides specialty retail insurance and program administration for the pool and spa service industry.

EmSpring CEO Dan Fisher and President Ed Haines, along with their staff, will join Hub Northwest in Yakima. Mr. Fisher will serve as senior vice president and Mr. Haines as vice president. EmSpring will operate under a co-branded name, according to a Hub International spokes woman.

Arrow President Raymond Arouesty and his staff will join Hub California in Simi Valley. Mr. Arouesty will serve as senior vice president. Arrow will co-brand with Hub International, according to the spokeswoman.

Hub International is the 9th largest insurance broker in the world, according to Business Insurance's latest ranking.
