Insurance broker expands into Colorado Rockies

AssuredPartners Inc. on Thursday said it has acquired Denver-based Peliton Insurance and Peliton Benefits from Peliton L.L.C.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Peliton provides services to small and midsize businesses in the Colorado Rocky Mountain area, AssuredPartners said in a statement. Peliton manages risk for commercial property/casualty and personal insurance and provides solutions for employee health benefit programs.
Peliton’s 27 employees will operate from their current Denver location under the leadership of managing member Frederick Miale Jr., according to the statement.
For now they will continue to operate under the brand Peliton Insurance and Peliton Benefits, according to an AssuredPartners spokesman.
“The extensive insurance and risk management experience of Peliton’s team will be a valuable addition to our network. We are excited to expand our growing Denver operations with these new professionals,” Tom Riley, AssuredPartners president and chief operating officer, said in the statement.
Lake Mary, Florida-based AssuredPartners is the 13th-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
