BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

The Navigators Group Inc., an international insurance company with corporate headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, announced the promotion of two of its executives Friday.

Carl Bach III has been promoted to managing director of Navigators Underwriting Agency Ltd. and president of London market insurance, the company said in a statement. Previously, Mr. Bach served as president of Navigators Pro, the company’s international management and professional liability insurance division. He will be based in London.

Colin Sprott has been promoted to chief underwriting officer for international insurance and active underwriter with Lloyd’s syndicate 1221. Mr. Sprott formerly served as president of the company’s global marine division. He also will be based in the London office.

The two promotions, which are subject to regulatory approval, will “more effectively support our traditional London market business in marine, energy, international (directors and officers) and professional liability; more recent initiatives such as international casualty; new products currently under development; and the ongoing expansion of our six European branch offices,” Stan Galanski, president and CEO of Navigators Group, said in the statement.
