BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

AIG may sell $4 billion stake in aircraft leasing firm

AIG may sell its holding in Dutch aircraft leasing company AerCap Holdings N.V., which could raise up to about $4 billion for the insurer, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing by Schipol, Netherlands-based AerCap.

In the Tuesday filing, AerCap said that American International Group Inc. owns nearly 96.7 million shares of the company. AIG received the AerCap shares in a $7.6 billion cash and stock deal in which it sold its International Lease Finance Corp. unit to AerCap last May, which gave AIG a 46% stake in AerCap. AerCap shares closed at $43.65 per share on Tuesday.

A spokesman for AIG said the company is not commenting on if and when it will sell any shares.
