BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Ann Longmore to join Marsh's FINPRO as multinational leader

Marsh Inc. said on Monday that directors' and officers' insurance expert Ann Longmore will join Marsh's FINPRO Practice in New York as its new multinational practice leader effective July 7.

Ms. Longmore comes to Marsh after 22 years at Willis North America Inc., where she was most recently executive vice president of the FINEX North America unit. Prior to her time at Willis, Ms. Longmore spent 10 years at American International Group.

“Ann Longmore is a well-known and well-respected financial and professional liability insurance adviser whose broad experience in serving multinational clients will further elevate Marsh's leading position in the market,” David Hong, Marsh's U.S. FINPRO Placement Leader said in a statement. “I'm thrilled that someone of Ann's caliber is joining Marsh and leading this important segment of our practice.”

At Marsh, Ms. Longmore will report to Mr. Hong and be tasked with helping Marsh meet the increasingly complex financial and professional liability needs of multinational clients based in the U.S., the company said.

“Multinationals are operating in a global economic environment where they not only have to address expanding professional liability exposures around the world, but also must comply with multiple governing bodies' insurance requirements, which continue to become more complex,” Ms. Longmore said in a statement. “Marsh's global multinational resources are unparalleled in the market.”

Ms. Longmore has a law degree and master's degrees in finance and economics. In addition to her work in the insurance industry, Ms. Longmore has held positions at the Department of Labor's ERISA Enforcement Division, the New York Stock Exchange and the Bankruptcy Court in the Eastern District of New York. In 2008, she was honored as one of Business Insurance's Women to Watch.
