To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

Med mal insurer Capson offers patient survey services

Capson Physicians Insurance Co. has partnered with Press Ganey Associates Inc. to offer patient satisfaction survey services to its physician policyholders, the companies announced in a statement Wednesday.

Capson, a medical malpractice insurer, hopes that improving patient satisfaction will decrease the likelihood of non-meritorious claims being filed against physicians, the statement said.

Its base of smaller physician practices will have access to the methodology and benchmarking tools offered by Press Ganey, a healthcare consulting firm.

“Press Ganey gives health care organizations the ability to capture the voice of the patient in order to enhance the clinical quality and safety of care,” said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO of Press Ganey, in a statement. “This new relationship with Capson gives more patients the opportunity to share their views on the care they receive and also will help improve physicians' understanding of the patient experience.”
