BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Bresnahan named president of Lexington Insurance

BOSTON—David J. Bresnahan has been named president of Lexington Insurance Co., succeeding Peter Eastwood, who now is president and CEO of parent company Chartis Inc.’s U.S. and Canada region.

Mr. Bresnahan previously was executive vp of the casualty, health care and program divisions of the Boston-based surplus lines insurer.

He joined Lexington in 1999 as errors and omissions product line manager and in 2002 was named vp for the insurer’s professional lines and construction business.

In 2004, Mr. Bresnahan was promoted to senior vp, casualty division executive. He was named president of Lexington on July 15.
