BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Federal health insurance exchange enrollment nearly 6.6 million: HHS

Nearly 6.6 million individuals signed up for health insurance plans through the federal exchange during the first seven weeks of the 2015 open enrollment season, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services reported Wednesday.

Of the 6,593,388 individuals who selected exchange coverage between Nov. 15 — the start of 2015 open enrollment — and Jan. 2, 102,896 opted for coverage between Dec. 27 and Jan. 2.

The selection of plans by nearly 6.6 million individuals through Jan. 2, is sharply higher compared with a year ago when 1,196,430 individuals had enrolled by the end of 2013.

“Thanks to the (Patient Protection and) Affordable Care Act, nearly 6.6 million Americans have access to quality, affordable health coverage for 2015 through the federally facilitated health insurance marketplace,” HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell said in a statement.
