BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Priest urges Vatican to welcome LGBT Catholics

Reprints

A new book written by a popular Jesuit priest and endorsed by two Catholic cardinals and a bishop urges the church to become more inclusive of LGBT people. “Building a Bridge: How the Catholic Church and the LGBT Community Can Enter Into a Relationship of Respect, Compassion, and Sensitivity,” written by Rev. James Martin, criticizes the language of disorder from the Catechism released by Pope John Paul II in 1992 and calls on Catholics to stop firing LGBT people from church positions. In this interview published by the Religious News Service, Rev. Martin says he isn’t the only person connected to the Vatican who feels this way.
