Willis appoints head of new enterprise risk management energy division

LONDON—Willis Group Holdings, the global insurance broker in London,has appointed Phillip Ellis as head of a new division focused ongrowing the Enterprise Risk Management business for Willis' GlobalRetail and Specialty teams.

Previously, Mr. Ellis was chairman of Willis Energy and in his new role he will report directly to Grahame Millwater, president of Willis Group, while acting as non-executive chairman of Willis Energy.

Before joining Willis in 2006, Mr. Ellis served with the BostonConsulting Group Inc. as leader of the firm's oil and gas practice.

Prior to that, he was with Booz Allen & Hamilton, based in McLean,Virginia, where he last headed up the firm's energy practice forEurope and the Middle East.
